A lot of mass market covers are picked up from the hardcover jacket. Then there are ‘original’ paperbacks that get their own art and there are series that are designed to be in a recognizable format. For years the cover design look I created for the bestselling DUNE novels written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson did not change even when the series went to a different publishing house. Book covers also can change if it’s felt that the package needs to be refreshed and up-dated. I will try to show at least two books in a series
in my galleries when possible.
